\nThe Maroon Bells in Colorado can be found southwest of Aspen. The view from Maroon Lake is both stunning and accessible.  The lake was formed in the glacial valley by a rockslide thousands of years ago.  Purposeful designers could not have done a better job.  The two peaks, Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, are named after the maroon mudstone that is predominant in the valley.

\nWhen I stand before a place like this, I can’t help but wonder about the history and the people that have traveled this way in the past.
